Women need other women and Women Ministries or Grace are an excellent way to meet that need, while filling your deeper need for more of God. Many churches have a Women’s Ministry, but it is the friends you make along the way that we seek as women to live our life to the fullest.

The Ladies of Grace Book Club plans hold its May meeting on Tuesday, May 24. Our selection this month is The Sixteen Pleasures by Robert Hellenga. The book is the story of 29-year-old Margot Harrington who in 1966 leaves family and job and heads off to Florence, intent on doing her bit to protect its precious books from the great floods and also looking for adventure. She meets the man she'll fall in love with who leads her to an abbey headed by the nun who is in charge of restoring the rare books at the National Library. The book has 384 pages and was published in 1995. Our discussion leader for this book is Cheryl Weidley. All women of Grace are invited to attend.

Our January book is Sharpe's Rifles by Bernard Cornwell. This book is one of many in an “adventure” series… something different. It's about a bunch of English riflemen’s adventures aiding the French army in 1809. At the time Napoleon was France’s leader, and he decided to do battle against his archenemy Spain. Richard Sharpe has no choice but to lead his men to safety retreating through the enemy-infested mountains of Spain in bitter cold weather. All ladies of Grace Church and their friends are invited to attend on Tuesday, January 25 at 7:30 in the Choir Room. Refreshments related to the book will be served. This book is a little over 300 pages long.
