As part of our continuing community outreach, Grace Lutheran Church, Lutherville, Maryland (MD) has opened its doors to the AL-ANON and ALATEEN Family Groups.

AL-ANON Family Group meetings welcome anyone who believes that their life has been affected by the drinking habits of someone in either the past or the present.

ALATEEN meetings are for teens and young adults who believe that their lives have been affected by the drinking habits of someone in either the past or the present.

The meetings are held Sunday nights from 7pm – 8pm. At the present time, The AL-ANON meeting is occurring each Sunday night. In the near future, the ALATEEN meeting will start soon. 24 hour Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Hotline is looking for volunteers to take calls and direct victims of Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence to the necessary resources.  Training will be provided.  For more information contact Tammy Cline, Hotline Coordinator at 410-853-3033.

Recent changes at the Augsburg Lutheran Home and Village have left some important spaces empty! Volunteers have left and replacements are very much needed.

Volunteers are a very important part of the Augsburg family. Whether you are volunteering as an individual or with a group, opportunities abound for you to make a difference in the lives of those living at Augsburg. As an Augsburg volunteer you will truly be blessed by being a blessing.

Volunteers serve in a variety of capacities including:

  • Clerical Assistant
  • Clothing Shop Assistant
  • Friendly Visitor
  • Gift Shop Clerk
  • Game Night Assistant
  • Relief Receptionist
  • Resident Biographer
  • Musician (pianist, organist, etc.)

Volunteering at Augsburg Lutheran Home and Village is also a great way to earn community service hours. Youth (13-18) are encouraged to volunteer and earn their hours at Augsburg.

The Assistance Center Towson Churches [ACTC] is in need of food for their shelves. There has been a significant increase of Families coming to the Center in need of assistance and food.  Please bring your donations to Grace Church in February.
